“👀🎃SCARY REAL🎃“ — THE RAKE

The Rake is a humanoid creature caught on a security camera on July 7th, 2019. However, its origin and true intentions are unknown. Initially, it arrived in 2022 on September 24th, but now it arrives every July 7th, takes over the Discord server, and then disappears till next year. Its first 7/7 takeover was in 2023, and it has returned every year on that exact date since then. Its arrival is celebrated by many as a holiday, reminding them to “Stay scary, and stay real”.

While The Rake is typically seen as an ill-meaning Creepypasta or Cryptid, it is undetermined whether this is the same Rake from those stories or if it originates from a species. It has never harmed anyone and disappears as quickly as it arrives. The most harm it has done is scare others with its cry.

Its clear appearance is yet to be revealed as it always appears in an unfocused blur. It seems to be a blurry, pale, long-armed humanoid with no face or other features. The Rake is instantly recognized by its large arms and iconic sound.

Typical depictions of a Rake are defined by its incredibly sharp claws. However, this description is not shared with The Rake. It seems its claws are instead long, sluggish arms used to slowly wander around at night as well as it not seeming to be as thin as other descriptions

The original video of The Rake has not been found; an upload from MBJREPORT was the first sighting of the creature. On October 31st, 2021, the account was discovered by Sterling and Soleil while scouring YouTube for recently uploaded videos of weird creatures caught on camera. They watched more of their videos and found a video titled “THE RAKE - 👀🎃SCARY REAL 🎃 #scary #TicToc #shorts #Nightcrawler” which became an instant favorite.
